    Appreciate you putting yourself out there to show us the real side of this. I’m restoring my 94 C1500 that I have had since late 93 when it was bought wrecked with 300 miles on it. We retired the truck about 8 years ago. It had done its time and kept many friends and family members going to work. It’s days as a pick up are over it’s now a hot rod. Seeing you put in all that work on your truck’s steering has helped me learn very important lessons. I had heard the term steering Ackerman before but had never taken time to understand exactly what it meant until I learned from your experience. I hope you keep at that detail. I get the feeling it has you a bit down and out, so I wanted to try and lend some encouragement. Apologies for running off course from the content of this video. I’ll watch what ever you put out in any event. Thank you so much!

    Is it possible to put an auto trans on an inline 6 217 cubic inches? I was thinking about trying a TH350 using an adapter from wilcap i heard they make a kit. But i wanna get some ideas before I dive in. I have a 49 Plymouth Deluxe its 3 on the tree right now. But my left knee isnt 100% due to a motorcycle accident. So shifting has become a hell of a pain. I don’t want that to be the reason I don’t go to meets and stuff as much anymore so Im looking for a solution.

    You're good in front of the camera bud. Nice use of the file to debur the hubcentric part of the axle to get the rotor in place. I think most people would resort to some form of plug in tool to gnarl everything up. Even though your drums worked great for "one" hard stop, the disc rear will help with repetitive hard stops.

    • @docsake7891
      @docsake7891 12 дней назад

      Hey also an FYI- Strap those axle hardlines down to the housing as tight as you can with very large zipties- I would suggest the large "handcuff" style zipties that will not break. If those lines vibrate up and down as you drive even a tiny bit they will develop into leaks in no time.

    just did a mazda b3000 (basically a ford ranger with a mazda logo) based on this video. coupla notes: - if like me you can't figure out how to get the fan out, you CAN get to the tensioner with a little finagling. - removing the battery completely from the engine compartment makes a surprising amount of extra room. - there's a pair of mud covers(? not sure on the proper term) near the battery, and sometimes the hoses coming off the pump get stuck under there, making it harder to reinstall them. I had one snaked through there, took me a good twenty minutes trying to get the threads started before I lost my patient and popped it back out of there. no problem after that. waiting on the gravity bleed now.

    Instead of no traction on one side you won't have traction on either side. So be extra careful in inclement weather. Hence the original design was not a flaw.
